As Chief Purser of the Titanic Museum Attraction, I would like to personally invite you to join me in becoming a part of history as we pay respect and honor to the 2,208 passengers and crew members who sailed the RMS Titanic almost a century ago.
On April 15, 2012, it will have been 100 years since the Titanic was lost at sea. Starting now through April of next year, there will be special memorial events taking place around the world. The Titanic Museum Attractions will specifically commemorate Titanic's Irish heritage by giving away 6 trips for 2 to Belfast, Ireland. The "Back to Titanic 100th Year 'Tour Ireland' Sweepstakes"will launch on June 13, 2011. Guests will visit our website at www.titanicattraction.com to enter.

On July 1, 2011, the Titanic Museum Attraction will give every single guest who boards the museum, a rose petal to be placed into a memorial container in the Memorial Gallery. On April 15, 2012, these collected petals will be placed at sea directly where Titanic went down.
On August 1, 2011, we will launch Titanic's own Royal Wedding web contest on our Branson, Mo. website (www.titanicbranson.com) and our Pigeon Forge, Tn. website (www.titanicpigeonforge.com). Titanic Museum Attractions will pay homage to the 12 honeymooning couples who were on board the RMS Titanic. There will be online voting to select the winners (one couple at each location) and website guests will be able to vote on each of the winners cakes, flowers, and dresses as well. The weddings will take place at each location in April 2012.

Many of us associate James Cameron's movie, Titanic, with the story of the RMS Titanic. On April 6, 2012, Titanic will be re-released in 3-D. Also, John Joslyn, who co-led a six-million-dollar expedition to the site of the sinking will re-release his documentary, "Return to the Titanic". This film remains one of the highest rated syndicated specials of all time. There will be a mini-series television event from ABC as well.
Many other special memorial events will take place in 2012 at the Titanic Museum Attraction and around the world. These events will be announced in the coming months.
